25 Months!
I personally don't like referring to the whole month old thing. Maybe when they were under a year, or at most through their 2nd year, but now, she's 2! She just turned 2, so she's not 2 1/2 yet. But, for the blog's purpose, she's 25 months.
January was a very cold month. Of course you'd expect the winter to be cold, but we have had below normal temperatures. I probably mentioned that I love warm weather. I enjoy being outside, in the sunshine and not being cold! Since it has been so cold, it limits our activities.
Adisyn is now a more permanent fixture in the 2 year old class at school. Before she turned two, she would go there from time to time, transitioning her into the class. Now, she spends almost all of her days there, although she does go to the 1 year old class at times (I think it's more of a ratio thing). Her 1 year old teacher has also moved to the 2 year old class. Adisyn really likes Eva and her other teacher now is Farrah. Farrah is convinced that her 1 year old son, Zane, is going to marry Adisyn and he talks about her all the time at home. Adisyn talks more about a boy Asher, whenever she talks about school. It's funny how they have their own little boy/girl favorites. The 2 year olds are much more involved in activities and they make so many crafts! She loves to do any type of craft and is so proud of it!
They also will be learning Spanish now that she's in this classroom. I have my bilingual books, and we read them some, but I am going to incorporate more Spanish as she has a bigger English vocabulary. I figure I don't want to push the issue because she's a sponge at this age anyway, so we'll take it slow. She watches some t.v, if we are ready for bed early. Her favorite is Sesame Street, but most of the time she wants me to fast forward to "Elmo's World". I found, on Netflix "El Mundo de Elmo" so we're starting to watch that some too now. I like that her favorite show is in both languages!
Adisyn can now count to 12 and is pretty consistent on taking her clothes off and is very quick at putting her shoes on! We have practiced more with her "big girl undies" on the weekend and her teachers tell us that she's been telling them that she "p peed" so they're now starting to take her to the toilet as well.
Myrtle Beach
Since it has been cold, we went to the Children's Museum in Greenville, SC: http://www.tcmupstate.org/
I didn't mention it in the last blog, but we also went to the Children's Museum in Charlotte, NC: http://www.discoveryplacekids.org/ for my birthday.
